Jack had a super fun Halloween this year! We practiced saying "Trick-or-Treat" all month and he was a pro come Halloween night. As usual, I had fun decorating the house and making it festive and fun. Since summer Jack has been telling me that he wanted to be a ball for Halloween and Surya was to be a hoop, or vice versa. That turned out to be too big of a task for me to complete, so we all settled on his being an astronaut to celebrate the spirit of the Endeavour coming to California to reside and Baugartner's free fall to earth from the stratosphere (I know, I am such a teacher mom). We spent Halloween trick-or-treating with his cousins in our neighborhood. Jack ended up scoring extra candy since he was so cute in his costume, said "treat-or'treat" and then thanked people after. He kept saying proudly that his candy bag was too heavy, but refused to let anyone hold it in fear we would eat it. About an hour in, he wanted to eat a piece of candy, but we kept telling him that there were more houses to get candy from. That satisfied him for a little while, but when he insisted, I told him we would have a few pieces when we got home. He stopped and said, "Mama, all done trick-or-treating. Go home." Little stinker!
